Full Job Description
We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Swindon to assist with the appointment of a Park Warden, on a 6-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration., As a Seasonal Park Warden, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the seasonal facilities at Coate Water Country Park, including the Pitch & Putt kiosk and course, Crazy Golf course, and The Splash Park. This role involves direct public engagement, facility upkeep, and grounds maintenance to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for all visitors., Sell tickets and operate card payment machines.
Issue equipment and restock cold drinks/ice creams.
Engage with visitors, providing general park information.
Set up and close down courses.
Operate sprinkler systems and maintain greens/fairways.
Mow and manage vegetation (ride-on and push mowers, shrub beds, and weeding).
Conduct regular water quality checks.
Maintain and clean splash park facilities and surrounding areas.
Enforce park rules and manage visitor capacity.
Perform toilet checks/cleaning, bin emptying, and litter picking.
Essentials
Strong time management and organizational skills.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
Adequate numeracy skills for handling cash/card payments confidently.
Excellent communication skills for public interaction and visitor engagement.
