Full Job Description

We are recruiting a Deputy Nursery Manager on behalf of our clients for their Forest School Nursery in Bootle, L20! This role will be starting in January 2025!,

  • To deliver a high standard of learning, development and care for children aged 0-5 years.
  • To deputise for the Nursery Manager when and if needed.
  • To supervise and appraise nursery staff as directed by nursery manager (as and when needed).
  • To ensure that the nursery is a safe environment for children, staff and others. To make sure all daily registers, sleep records and risk assessments are completed.
  • To develop partnerships with parents/carers to increase involvement in their child's development.
  • To be responsible for any tasks delegated by the Nursery Manager.
  • To be a role model for all staff.
  • To provide a safe, caring, stimulating educational environment, both indoors and outdoors, at all times.
  • To deliver an appropriate play based Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum that enables children to make individual progress and to support other staff in doing so.
  • To help ensure the nursery meets Ofsted requirements at all times.

    This role will be suitable for a Childcare professional who has Level 3 in Childcare and experience within SENCO and some deputy manager experience., Level 3 in Childcare or higher
  • SENCO experience is desirable but not essential
  • Management experience is desirable but not essential
  • Minimum of 2 years in a Childcare Role
  • Excellent working knowledge of the EYFS Framework
  • All applicants must hold an enhanced DBS certificate (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered on the DBS update service. Candidates will be asked to provide a minimum of five years references and successfully pass all safeguarding checks.   • Pay: £17-19 per hour depending on experience
