Full Job Description

To contribute the delivery of the highest quality clinical, education and training and research services through supporting and promoting the involvement of patients, their families and carers and the wider public in the design and delivery of our services.

The post holder will be expected to work flexibly across the Trust's service delivery sites and to attend meetings in the communities we serve.

Main duties of the job

Patient and Public Involvement

To develop, run and evaluate creative ways of obtaining feedback from patients and carers

To work on developing and coordinating service feedback groups for young people and for adults

To help support the Trust's role of responsiveness towards the communities we serve by working to engage less represented or difficult to engage communities through established groups or third sector organisations and use this feedback to help develop services.

To complete and report on consultations involving patients and carers

To develop new patient experience projects in conjunction with the PPI team and clinical services across the trust

To support projects that have been identified as quality improvement projects within services

To engage with service users and staff to develop improved access to relevant resources and training for people using Trust resources.

To oversee communications with the patient group and ensure data is up to date and appropriate

To ensure a patient representatives are trained and available for interview panels

To work with Communications Team to ensure that all PPI related events and news is highlighted on the different websites

To provide support to the Department of Education and Training in developing patient and public involvement in the design and delivery of training and education offered by the Trust
