Full Job Description

The post holder will be responsible for promoting patient safety across the organisation through liasing with clinical and non-clinical staff, providing education and training, and supporting with the systematic reviews of patient safety incidents.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic individual who has a keen interest in patient safety to join the Trust's Corporate Patient Safety Team. The role involves working with colleagues in all specialties and disciplines to support patient safety across the whole organisation.

You will support the team's Lead and Matron in delivering the Trust's Patient Safety Strategy.

The role would suit a person who has an interest in patient safety, has a strong focus on team working and with excellent communication skills.

Candidates will be required to provide a Powerpoint presentation (maximum 10 minutes) on the below question:

How will you in the role of Patient Safety Manager promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement?, Candidates will require excellent analytical and IT/database management skills as well as the ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines. He/she will be able to work autonomously but also part of a small team.
