Full Job Description

LPFT are looking to recruit for maternity leave cover an individual to provide an efficient Payroll Shared Service to all customers to enable us to enhance our commitment to providing Patient/Client care:

o Undertake preparation of a section of the payroll in accordance with Clients' policies and statutory legislation.

o Input and verification of payroll data to the payroll system.

o Provide assistance within the Payroll Shared Services as required.

o Provide information to both internal and external customers.

o Provide internal training to all members of staff.

o To support the team to Implement E-Business and "lean" initiatives to progress system developments., o Maintain employee pay records on computerised payroll system in a timely and accurate manner. Perform independent confirmation and verification of the payroll output

o Check & verify information received from client Human Resources/Workforce departments to ensure accuracy and report any incorrect data

o Apply & reconcile voluntary and statutory deductions including the import of electronic data for such deductions, repayments, childcare vouchers and other salary sacrifice deductions. Ensuring compliance with guidance and legislations

o Prepare, analyse, monitor and maintain temporary variation data , checking for accuracy and completeness. Ensure that all forms are authorised. Ensure that staff claiming expenses have approval by their employer prior to processing. Identify errors and liaise with relevant parties to resolve

o Monitor/ update where appropriate sickness absence, maintain entitlements and apply occupational and /or statutory sick pay provisions to ensure payments during absence are adjusted as appropriate

o Determine and apply temporary/permanent contractual and personal amendments to pay records as appropriate both manually and the importing of electronic data for all local and national pay rates and conditions of service in respect of NHS employees

o Deal with Payroll enquiries and correspondence from internal and external sources in a polite, friendly and professional way
