We have a permanent position available for an experienced and enthusiastic Higher-Level Teaching Assistant. In addition to providing support to the class teachers, you will be required to prepare and deliver elements of learning to pupils on a one to one, small group or class basis. A key responsibility of this post will be to plan and deliver the PE curriculum to small classes of pupils. An additional responsibility is to provide guidance and support to our team of Learning Support Assistants. You will be joining a positive, solution-focused team of staff who are dedicated to help improve outcomes for vulnerable pupils.

• A good understanding of the KS2 curriculum.
• At least two years' experience of working in a learning/childcare setting.
• Experience in the delivery of sports activities/PE curriculum.
• The ability to support reading and phonics for those students at the early stages of reading.
• The ability to support a programme of extra-curricular activities.
• A flexible, adaptable and positive attitude to working in a structured environment.
• The ability to lead groups and activities across a range of ages including KS3 and KS4.
• The ability to effectively communicate with a range of stakeholders.
• Skills of empathy, listening, communication and the ability to respond to unexpressed need.
• A willingness to undertake the further training that will be offered.
