Why Join KPMG as a Senior People Advisor Working in the People Advisory Services Team (PAS) you will have responsibility for providing business focused and best practice HR support to a designated area of the business. You will act as the key contact point for all HR matters for People Leaders (PL's) in your business area, taking ownership of all employee relations cases of varying complexity. You will be perceived as a credible and commercial business advisor. You will work with the HR Business Partners and wider PAS to deliver HR calendar activities and support strategic priorities, working collaboratively across the People function to provide a seamless and first class HR service. As a member of the PAS team, you are expected to demonstrate the Firm's values at all times and be seen as a role model to your client groups and team. As a Senior People Advisor you will be expected to use your initiate and take the lead during key calendar activities and team discussions; this includes supporting your PAS Assistant Manager and providing additional guidance and support to your People Advisor colleagues, to ensure any of the key deliverables are met. What will you be doing?

  • Build your knowledge to enable you to effectively provide a knowledgeable service and level of support to ad hoc queries not covered by policy, seeking guidance from D1 Colleagues as and when required
  • Working alongside the operational stakeholders and Senior People Advisors (SPA) to ensure E-D promotions & Steps processes are delivered in line with the central guidance and administered through Appian for each quarterly cycle
  • Assisting with ad hoc bonus validation queries and supporting the SPA's by providing first line assistance to the business on the calibration process
  • Ensuring all exits from the business where the Colleague is on a sponsored visa are notified immediately to the immigration team and liaising with the Immigration team in any aspect of the scope of your work where required eg Long term sickness, AWOL cases for Sponsored Colleagues
  • Assisting the SPA's on OH /Case work- Mental Health/Non critical illness - point to service first occasion of referral to OH within first 8 weeks of sickness or currently at work with intermittent sickness or work related concerns
  • Supporting the Student Health Questionnaire process, ensuring any flagged OH referrals at Onboarding stage are picked up so that new joiners will have required adjustments on joining.
  • Managing referrals from Neurodiverse Colleagues in the first instance to Microlink - Genius Within
  • Partnering with Health and Safety and Microlink to manage Colleague adjustments with follow on check ins to ensure the impact is delivered
  • Supporting Case Work to include informal management and RPP's to stage 1 with appropriate guidance given by D1 to include updating trackers and reporting. Prepare panel packs and scribing as and when required
  • Collating Information for Panels and note taking under guidance of ER Specialist. Basic advice at front end and collateral for all stages under guidance of ER Specialist.
  • Assisting in the provision of MI Reports in conjunction with OEH Central team as directed by the Team Leader (D2), We are open to talk to talent across the country but our core Central Service hubs for this role are:

  • A good degree of understanding in applying employment law, that keeps up to date with changes and legal advancements
  • Have a proven ability to build relationships and communicate with people at all levels both internally and external to KPMG
  • Possess strong problem solving and facilitation skills
  • Be an excellent communicator - written and verbal
  • Have strong influencing skills and the ability to challenge senior colleagues
  • Demonstrate creative thinking and an innovative approach to projects / tasks
  • Have a proven ability to work to deadlines and work without supervision
  • Have excellent IT skills including Excel, PowerPoint and SAP or equivalent HR system
