Full Job Description

We currently have a new opportunity for a People Leader Advisor to join the People team in London on a 12-month Fixed Term Contract. This role will directly support our People Leaders within Royal London Asset Management (RLAM) whilst also contributing to the overall People Leader Advisory Service within Royal London Group. The People Leader Advisor will be the key contact for RLAM's people leaders seeking advice and guidance on all aspects of people related matters and colleague life cycle. This will include policy advice, performance, development, talent and capability, Learning, the management of Employee Relations ('ER') cases (Sickness, Disciplinary, Grievances, etc.) cyclical events such as pay review and STIP bonus, as well as resolving day to day people related queries and helping to facilitate the development of people leaders to increase their people management skills. About the role Be a first point of contact for people leader advice and support on:

  • Employee Relations:
  • + Provide an advisory service for people leaders on all aspects of case management at all levels of the organisation. + Casework includes disciplinary, dismissals, capability, sickness and other absence cases, grievances and appeals. + Provide commercial, effective, risk assessed solutions for all disputes and case work in line with the agreed ER Strategy and organisational risk appetite. + Ensure all activity is compliant with relevant legislation, policy and process frameworks.
  • Performance and Reward queries (pay, benefits, benchmarking, recognition, annual pay and performance cycles) liaising with the People Partner and / or Centre of Excellence where appropriate.
  • Talent and Capability queries (Career Management, Talent and Succession, Learning and Development, Diversity & Inclusion, Well-Being and Engagement) liaising with the People Partner and / or Centre of Excellence where appropriate.

    Commercial experience and an understanding of how HR can impact business performance.
  • Previous experience advising People Leaders within an Asset Management business or within Financial Services is preferred.
  • Demonstrates a range of generalist knowledge and experience and having an up-to-date knowledge of employment law.
  • Ability to provide excellent people related advice to leaders.
  • Ability to build effective working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Relevant customer service skills and experience developed within an internal customer facing HR role.
  • Previous demonstrable experience within a HR generalist or People Advisor role.
  • CIPD qualification (including working towards) or other relevant qualification.
