The role of Performance Director sits within our Entertainment hub at OMD EMEA. The role is responsible for central media planning across Odeon, Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, managing a large team of activation reports. Relevant channels include social, programmatic and search and you must have a POV on how these may complement any direct buys, as well as ensuring performance excellence across relevant local markets. You will work with the Account Director, and work in collaboration with the wider performance and client service teams to ensure client business objectives are met. As a team, we are all super passionate about entertainment and love working on the Odeon, Crunchyroll and Home Entertainment accounts. With films such as Venom, large scale Christmas campaigns and loyalty programs - there really is something for everyone! The Performance Director will be responsible for delivering best in class Performance Media strategies and execution across central media, planning and delivering these to a high standard as well as being responsible for reporting and post campaign analysis. We are looking for someone who can proactively review Odeon, Crunchyroll and SPHE's business challenges and opportunities and identify strategic solutions to deliver on these. You will also need strong performance experience, able to craft plans to drive sales and deliver on ROI KPIs. Awareness driving experience is also a plus. The ideal candidate will be passionate about the entertainment industry and have a proven background in performance media, with experience across search, social and programmatic media. is an exciting role with excellent career opportunities and benefits within a high-profile team. With some huge titles coming out next year, we are looking for someone who can hit the ground running, take full ownership of the performance media strategy, and drive excellence of delivery across the accounts and team overall. Previous experience with entertainment or retail brands would be a bonus, but not necessary. Specific areas of responsibility include:
- Senior & high-level stakeholder management across all three clients.
- Define and deliver the key priorities and workstreams for performance media.
- Define and deliver test and learn plans for each client.
- Utilise MMM studies to drive up performance.
- Proactively identify and deliver growth opportunities for all brands.
- Ensure high quality and excellent day to day delivery for performance media across your team, driving sales and ROI.
- High quality, robust and actionable data and performance analysis & reporting.
- Ensure the team are always sharing the most relevant and up to date news and information with the client, both locally and centrally, with a point of view and implication for the business.
- Collaboration with local market teams on SPHE, developing and growing a Performance Community.
Demonstrable experience managing performance media. - Whilst we do not expect you to have been hands on in all channels, we do require hands-on activation background in at least one channel (social and/ or programmatic), and a strategic understanding of the other channels.
- Proven ability to independently manage multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven ability to identify client opportunities and challenges and develop proactive solutions and recommendations for these.
- Proactive attitude, always staying on top of what is new in performance and keeping the team and client updated.
- Experience of creating digital strategies and ensuring they are implemented across multiple markets.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent team management and training experience.
- Exemplary time management skills, able to prioritize and work well under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail. Technical experience:
- You will have experience across Google Ads, DV360, CM360, TTD, Amazon DSP, Meta, TikTok, SnapChat, Reddit or Twitter/ X.
- Experience in brand safety and verification solutions including IAS and DoubleVerify is highly beneficial.
- You will have experience working with a range of industry partners covering a breadth of inventory, audience and data solutions.
- Experience with multiple data and audience solutions, as well as test and learn development and recommendations.
- You will have excellent presentation skills and feel comfortable building and delivering PowerPoint presentations to clients.
- You will ideally have international experience, having a good degree of familiarity with local market nuances and vendors. This is not a mandatory but would be helpful.
- You will have an excellent understanding of KPI selection within performance media.
- You will have experience activating performance media and therefore an understanding of best practice across planning, platform choice, campaign type, campaign structure, optimisation, QA, reporting, insight generation and finance.
