Full Job Description

Volunteering on award involves a long term commitment (for example 9 - 12 months), and to bring continuity and stability for patients and staff, we ask volunteer to support by doing the same periods each week, which are discussed and agreed by the volunteer and volunteer supervisor. The aim of this role is to assist the Manager for Personalised Care with the delivery of personalised care programmes and support. Personalised care is based around what matters to a person, and their loved ones. It is a different relationship between professionals and service users, co-producing care, and promoting shared decision making.Working for our organisation Volunteer duties may include:

  • Responding to enquiries in a polite manner and ensuring an appropriate response is initiated.
  • There may be times that you are asked to contact people via telephone.
  • Support staff in dealing with administration requests
  • Photocopy leaflets for distribution
  • Creation of word documents and other media that support team function
  • Taking and delivering messages if required
  • We may ask for your support to create visual aids, documents and presentations
  • Collation of information packs for colleagues, patients and carers, and arranging for them to be sent to out.
  • Support, when available, with events and delivery of information to staff
  • Supporting with social media, such as taking team photographs and uploading to social media platforms
  • Have a good understanding of personalised care, and have a genuine interest in this topic.
  • To shared appropriate elements of lived experience to support patients and staff.
