Full Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacist to join our Pharmacy team at HMP Belmarsh. HMP Belmarsh is a category A Prison located in South East London, close to Plumstead and Woolwich Arsenal stations. The prison houses around 675 patients with a variety of needs include complex physical and mental health. Within this role you will be working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team in a busy pharmacy, delivering a high quality service, assisting team supervision and provide advice on medicines management., As the Clinical Pharmacist your responsibilities will vary. You will:

  • Ensure the provision and delivery of an integrated, safe, legal, high quality prison pharmaceutical service

  • Provide expert advice on pharmaceutical matters and ensuring a safe and modern medicines management services

  • Lead a team of Pharmacy technicians

    Registered Pharmacist - holding registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).

  • Vocational Masters Degree in Pharmacy including pre-registration training

  • Relevant post qualification


  • Although not essential, this would ideally suit an applicant with at least 1 years experience in a hospital setting.

    This position is full time, youll receive an annual salary up to £57,750 per annum - depending on experience.
