Pharmacy Assistant

As a Pharmacy Assistant, your responsibilities will vary. You will :

• Complete general dispensary duties and stock management
• Be working as an active member of the Pharmaceutical team to ensure delivery of the pharmaceutical service
• Provide a timely and efficient service to the prison wings & Work on prescription service for around 7 sites
• Receive prescriptions and stick returns from wing based clinical areas
• Collect orders from suppliers from the Main Gate and arrange collection of return
• Participate in dispensing of prescriptions.

  An NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Service Skills / Pharmacy Dispensing
• Pharmacy experience whether from the community, hospital, or secure setting
• Level 2 English and Maths or equivalent
• A non-judgmental and compassionate approach
• Excellent communication skills
• Good IT skills and IT literacy
• Ability to work within a busy environment
• Ability to work unsupervised whilst following policy and procedures

This is a full time role, working hours per week, usually Monday - Friday, 8am - 4pm., This position is full time, youll receive an annual salary up to £24,973 per annum - depending on experience.
