Physical Fitness Practitioner

As the health and fitness instructor you will be responsible for setting up and running the gym and sports programmes within the unit and developing sports and leisure links within the community. You will work with individual patients to support them in achieving their goals in relation to health and fitness and understanding of healthy living, including smoking cessation advice.

The successful candidate would be based on Oxford Clinic a two ward unit for male patients. The two wards are Kennet an acute ward with 15 beds and Glyme a rehabilitation ward with 17 beds. The role will involve working with individuals detained under the Mental Health Act. An informal discussion about the opportunity, or a visit, is strongly encouraged.
