The good news is that our continued success and business growth has opened an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and organised Planning Manager to join our Gowerton Road site in Brackmills, Northampton. As an experienced Planning Manager, you will report directly into the sites Assistant General Manager. Within your role you will be required to lead and grow Wincanton's business through leading employees to work effectively, work collaboratively and engage together. This is an excellent opportunity to work as part of a management team that promotes culture, performance, and engagement with its talented customer. This role requires a natural leader, someone who has an ability to engage with all stakeholders and an ability to successfully implement change.
This is an excellent opportunity to work with the wider Management team including the sites Account Manager to continue to build an established and talented team. How will you contribute? - Develop an optimised plan across varying scenarios accommodating multiple customer demands - Delivering an overall operational plan - Managing Inbound and Outbound forecasts and schedules, providing the Operational team with clear visibility on weekly activity - Key decision maker in deciding volume profile, daily plans and resourcing requirements - Producing a suite of KPIs weekly, monthly, quarterly on performance - Develop a tool to maintain correct stock holding of consumables for UK and Export customer volumes - Coordinating with the Stock & Admin Manager and Operations Managers on the demand greater than capacity and plan to manage customer expectations - To adhere to and follow Company policies/procedures, including Quality, Health and Safety to ensure compliance to statutory
obligations - Responsible for Health and Safety of themselves and other team members by adhering to safe working practices, Experience in WMS, Microsoft and have exceptional IT & analytical skills to drive performance - A track record in delivering innovative performance improvements and operational excellence - Strong experience of logistics / relevant industrial experience and supply chain with varying levels of complexity - An ability to react to customer demands by providing project solutions in a fast-paced environment with minimal operational impact - Agile approach to planning with a proven experience of adapting operational plans to changing customer requirements - Manage all change projects successfully and be able to continually review how changes may give benefits to both organisation - An ability to value stream map, and identify route cause via analysis to understand issues and create preventative measures and improve performance
