We are the Strategy, Planning and Corporate Affairs Division, of the Operations and Finance Directorate.

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as a Planning Manager where you'll help us plan and deliver the systems needed to achieve a healthier Wales through the delivery of our Long Term Strategy.

We are seeking to create a vibrant, inclusive, and healthy culture where our team are supported to develop and thrive., As Planning Manager, you'll be directly involved in making a difference to the health of the people of Wales by managing the delivery of key areas of work that help Public Health Wales achieve its Long Term Strategy (2023-35).
You'll work in a team responsible for the delivery of our three year Strategic Plan and ensuring that we work in a collaboratively across the organisation to develop a balanced plan that meets the needs of our key stakeholders.
You will have the opportunity to lead and manage key organisational-level projects working with a range of colleagues from across the organisation.
You'll use your proven people and planning skills to develop and implement ways that we are working effectively with our partners across the public health system to deliver our Long Term Strategy.
Your excellent written communication skills will be utilised to ensure our plans are accessible and understandable for everyone interested in how we plan to achieve a healthier Wales.
We will also need to quickly digest and summarise key planning guidance, policies and legislation where necessary to ensure our team and our stakeholders understand the implications and actions required.

The salary scale shown is for a full-time member of staff, with the amount being adjusted pro rata for those working less than 37.5 hours per week.
In general, anyone joining our Trust who has not previously worked in the NHS will, by default, start on the first point of the advertised pay band. Pay progression will then be determined by annual Performance and Development Reviews in accordance with the NHS Wales Pay Progression Policy. An application for Incremental Credit may be considered, but can only be awarded based on evidenced, reckonable service and/or equivalent, relevant experience.
