Look no further! We have a fantastic opportunity for a Planning Support Officer to join our team here at Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council. In this role, you will be required to assist the Planning Services Manager in providing support to the Planning Services Team on a range of technical and non-technical aspects. This role offers an exciting opportunity to begin a career within a Local Planning Authority planning department. You'll be a key member of the Planning department providing a wide and varied range of support to the planning team, with a focus on assisting in investigating breaches of planning control. You'll be highly motivated and be able to rise to the challenge of working in a fast-paced environment whilst ensuring that a high-quality service is delivered. You'll also possess excellent verbal and interpersonal skills to assist in dealing with conflict resolution. As part of your role, some of your duties would include:
- Dealing with correspondence for requests for information
- Reviewing and processing plans and information
- Producing and circulating agendas and taking minutes of meetings
- Managing and maintaining data, records, systems and information
