Closing Date: Monday 17th March 2025

About Us:

We're not just talking about making a difference, we're making it happen. We generate dispatchable, renewable power and create stable energy in an uncertain world. Building on our proud heritage, we have ambition to become the global leader in sustainable biomass and carbon removals.

You'll be joining our teams of practical doers, future thinkers and business champions. We're enabling a zero carbon, lower cost energy future for all, and working hard to decarbonise the planet for generations to come.

You'll also be expected to maintain and improve the existing control systems and PLCs by implementing the latest security measures against cyber-attack. The role will challenge your technical ability, problem solving and communication skills and will contribute to the delivery of flexible, renewable energy at Drax Power Station.

This role provides an opportunity to develop into a subject matter expert for the implementation of cyber-security improvements in-line with the latest NIS regulation and IEC62443 recommendations.

Who We're Looking For:

  • Minimum of a HND in Control & Instrumentation, Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Software Engineering.

  • Previous PLC programming experience in a technical role.

  • Experience of configuring and programming Schneider PLCs is desirable.

  • Knowledge of the NIS regulation and IEC62443.

  • Accomplished project manager with experience in project delivery.

  • Great analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to communicate across all levels.

  • Champion of safety and high standards in environmental and housekeeping duties.

Rewards and Benefits:

  • Competitive salary

  • 15% on-target discretionary group performance-based bonus

  • 25 days annual leave (plus Bank Holidays)

  • Single cover private medical insurance

  • Pension scheme
