PM1537 Personal Assistant

I am a 54 year old lady living in the old Llantrisant area with my husband, my 2 dogs and my 2 cats. I have 2 children and 4 little grandchildren. I have had 4 strokes which have left me a bit wonky and severely visually impaired. One of the hardest things for me is that I can't drive anymore I love cars and am gutted that I've lost my independence. I have Antiphosphlipid Antibodies Syndrome, Lupus, Sjorgens syndrome, arthritis, diabetes, Hemiplegic migraine, asthma, chronic fatigue and I think that's enough! My illness changes from day to day and it's pretty hard to predict. The fatigue is the worst part for me as even though my body can't my head is still very active. That's are times when I'm stuck in bed for days but I go out when I can. I like to go to Penarth to see my family when I'm able to. I try and stay positive but my mental health can be pretty dire at times. I think that I'm friendly and easy going through a bit bonkers. I love to craft and can often be
seen with a bed covered in projects. I have quite a lot of hospital and doctor's appointments at times in 4 different hospitals. My husband used to care for me a lot but his health has gone downhill quite rapidly lately. I've always been very house proud. Unfortunately I can't do much these days and my husband is not house proud at all so I'm now embarrassed at how it looks. We also have quite a few things wrong with the house so I guess that I'm saying don't judge as I don't live people coming to the house if I can help it. It's not dirty though. One thing for sure is that not two days will be the same. I like to go out shopping for a little bit and crafting is a passion. I don't need personal care, maybe just be aware that I'm going to shower as I do fall sometimes. I have a Motability car that can be insured for you.

PURPOSE OF JOB

To assist and support me in the home and out in the community., Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A trial period will be necessary in the first instance. The wage will be paid monthly basis and appropriate holiday pay given. The post is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS (Police) Check - which will need to be carried out before employment can commence. The cost of this will be met by the employer (Local Authority).The relevant checks will be carried out to ensure any applicant has the right to work in the UK
