We are seeking a Positive Behaviour Support and Active Support Lead to work with our Quality Assurance and Practice team, and to work with our operational teams within our South subsidiary. Based out of our Chertsey office in Surrey you will be covering services in and around Surrey including Woking, Chertsey, Virginia Water, Caterham, Horley and Epsom.

You will be supported by the subsidiary PBS and AS Partner and receive case load supervision from the Senior PBS and AS Partner.
This role will be Monday to Friday with good work life balance incl. working from home depending on business needs.
Due to the need to travel across different locations, the successful applicant needs to have a valid driving licence and have access to own transport, a car user allowance and mileage will be paid.
Depending on your level of qualifications and experience, we offer a salary starting from £27,000 to £32,000 per annum - we are happy to offer an informal chat and talk through your career to date to establish salary offered if successful!
You will …

  • To undertake assessments, including supporting the subsidiary Partner with functional assessments, as well as developing and implementing guidelines on supporting people who display behaviours that challenge.

  • To be a visible and supportive presence within services, to coach, train and role model best practice

  • To support operational teams to gain a good understanding of functional behaviour of people they are supporting

  • To collect data relating to behaviours that challenge in order to develop understanding and personalised interventions.

  • To deliver outcomes relating to increased quality of life and reducing the frequency and severity of incidents.

  • To be responsive to service crisis and pro-active in supporting and coaching change

    You will be supported, depending on your level of qualification, to achieve the diploma in Positive Behaviour Support and Practice Leadership with the British institute of learning disability (Bild).
    You will have the opportunity to attend relevant conferences and seminars such as the Bild PBS conference and further continual professional development options.
    What are we looking for?

  • Experience of person centred support, planning and developing PBS interventions

  • Experience of leading and managing a team; providing practice leadership

  • A level 5 qualification in Positive Behaviour Support is desirable along with experience in supporting individuals with IDD who are at risk of displaying challenging behaviour.

  • Ability to identify goals with people we support and create programmes to support successful achievement of these

  • IT Skills- Report writing and use of excel graphs, Disability Confident
