Full Job Description
You'll be joining a dynamic, dedicated and growing team responsible for managing the post-construction phase of our housing developments. The team works to ensure that newly built property, whether affordable rental, social rent, or shared ownership, meet the highest standards. The team oversees defect resolution, structural warranty claims, and large-scale remediation projects where properties have been built with significant issues. Managing anywhere from a handful to 50-60 homes at a time, the team collaborates closely with contractors, warranty providers, and internal departments to ensure residents receive high-quality, safe homes. You'll develop and implement the Construction & Latent Defects plan, manage resources, and act as the technical lead for latent defects. You'll ensure that post-construction issues are effectively identified, managed, and resolved, coordinating remediation work on-site as needed. This role is crucial in ensuring quality, maintaining housing stock integrity, and protecting the interests of both tenants and shared owners.
You'll approach this role with empathy and an understanding of our customer demographics. You'll hold knowledge and experience in the built environment sector, understanding of insurance principles, defect diagnosis, and managing contractors. You'll be experienced in residential construction process, regulations with health and safety legislation. You'll hold excellent communication, networking, problem-solving, and organisational skills. Strong understanding of development procedures and ability to read plans and specifications. To join our team, you'll also have;
- Degree/NVQ Level 6 in a construction-related discipline (essential), membership in RICS/CABE/CIOB/ICWCI (desirable).
- Driving license, access to a car and flexibility to work across geographical areas
- Excellent communication, networking, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Strong understanding of development procedures and ability to read plans and specifications.
- Collaboration working with warranty providers, internal teams, and external stakeholders to ensure high-quality outcomes.
