Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Scientist position in the laboratory of Dr Roni Levin Konigsberg at the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology (LMB), within a programme aimed at understanding the molecular physiology of phagocytic cells in health and disease. Specifically, to undertake research to investigate how phagocytic cells handle the degradation products from phagolysosomes for metabolic recycling, prevention of toxicity and resumption of phagocytosis.
Applicants are required to have a PhD in a relevant subject or be due to complete a PhD within 6 months. Previous experience and an ability to perform techniques relevant to the envisioned project is essential. Experience working in light microscopy, organelle biology, immune cell work and flow cytometry will be beneficial.
This is a three-year training and development position suitable for you if you have recently completed your doctoral studies, or you are looking to move into a new research discipline and/or need to further develop your research skills. Working with our world class scientists you will be working in an Institute renowned for its excellent scientific facilities and high-quality research.
The LMB has a collaborative working culture and state-of-the-art building based on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus. We have on-site parking, cycle enclosures and excellent public transport links to the site.
