You will work on-shift, leading your team in outstanding practice. You will lead the principles of "nothing about me without me", ensuring the supported person's voice (behaviours, expressions, actions, words) is heard, and they are leading their support planning, delivery, and review. Someone that is happy to sit quietly with them, and at times someone that will use techniques to engage them in activities. Someone that can support sensory diet and facilitate visual aids to improve communication. Experience and understanding individuals that can become distressed, with a sound knowledge of the functions of behaviours and PBS delivery is ESSENTIAL. Analysing behavioural data to inform you and your team to be confident in trying new ways to support. A robust and methodical leader who is not afraid to be an active team player while coordinating structure and routine for 'R' Driven to continuously improve provision and performance of your team to enable this young man to direct his life by having opportunity, choice and control regardless of capacity. About 'R' He is a young autistic man, he is full of fun and vitality and who enjoys nothing more than being out all day everyday - he is very active! Can you walk for miles to keep up with him? He likes being outdoors come rain or shine. He is up for all adventures to include paddle boarding, zip wiring and wall climbing & horse-riding. 'R 'has a passion for cars, trains and buses. He is a sociable young man who struggles at times with boundaries and needs consistency and patience to support his understanding that not everyone is his friend - shop staff and transport staff all know him well and will often give a cheerful wave and tell him their names. 'R' has his own car to support him to get the most out of his community. 'R' thrives from having structure and routine, knowing what he is doing each day and who he will see is very important to him. Planning with him and using various ways to communicate his week with him is vital. He sees the world around him as unpredictable and sometimes frightening. The team know things that cause him to be anxious and understand and support any behaviours that cause him distress. 'R' has an infectious personality and has a busy week with his team. During the day 'R' is supported by 2 staff to ensure he is able to remain safe while accessing the community to get then best from his days If you share the passion to improve lives and opportunities, then this could be a great opportunity for you to work in an environment that cares about people supporting people. 'R' is happy to be supported by both males and females. They both have access to their own vehicles, so a clean driving license would be beneficial. The working pattern would be: This will post requires weekday, weekend, morning, afternoons and evenings. We facilitate a 2-week rolling pattern for continuity of delivery. 'R' is happy to be supported by both males and females. He has his own vehicle on order, so a clean driving license is essential.,

- Annual pay of £21,216/£26,520 plus sleeping rate and the opportunity to earn overtime.

Hourly Rate: £13.20 plus additional pay factors (+40ph complex rate, +20ph loyalty after 1 year in role, +£1.00 night rate enhancement), sleep-ins are paid at an additional rate., 'R's' support delivery begins at 8am through to 11pm. He has someone sleep at his home with him overnight. 2:1 shift is currently 9am-5pm but is constantly being reviewed to meet his needs and support the activities he likes to engage with.
