Required from September 2025
Temporary-fixed in the first instance with the potential for it to become permanent
32.5 hours per week. 8.00 am - 3.30 pm Term time only
Are you an enthusiastic, hardworking and high-quality higher level teaching assistant? If so, you may be just the person to join our supportive and friendly team at our wonderful school.
The HLTA role is a combination of covering PPA and management time across the primary phase and some in-class or small group support. You will need to have a good subject knowledge across the curriculum and be prepared to teach classes of pupils from Reception to Year 6.
The successful candidate will be expected to work under the direction and supervision of qualified teachers, in accordance with arrangements made by the Headteacher of the school.
The successful applicants will have:
- The HLTA status or equivalent
- Experience of teaching whole classes especially within KS1 and KS2
- A good understanding of how to ensure that vulnerable pupils thrive within a primary school setting
- A passion for securing the best outcomes for children
- A positive outlook with a sense of humour and a 'can do' attitude
- A commitment to safeguarding of children
- Excellent interpersonal skills, able to establish and sustain constructive relationships with children and adults
- The ability to use their initiative and be flexible
- A desire to play a full part in the life of the school and the local community
Visits: We will be running tours on Thursday 10th April 2025 at 3:45pm (please call the office on to book a place on this tour). Though tours are not essential, we do strongly encourage them.
