Full Job Description
You will be working closely with our Head of Pricing and the Pricing Manager in our Parcels team, as well as collaborating with various internal stakeholders across our business, working on an exciting transformation project., This is a key role within a high performing team to support and explain strategic decisions across a revenue base worth c.£500m per annum. Using Excel and other analytical platforms, you will demonstrate commercial insight and modelling expertise to analyse the impact of new pricing strategies and product propositions across the domestic and international parcels suite. You will also:
- Engage, influence, and support senior stakeholders in the Product and Pricing teams, and more widely around the business, to help approve and deliver new pricing strategies and product propositions.
- support the formation and delivery of new pricing strategies, building and using Pricing models to assess margin, volume, and revenue impacts.
- Work with multiple stakeholders to deliver a positive transformation across a large customer base. There is an opportunity to work closely with the Data team in Pricing to help improve our models and tools.
We're looking for someone who is comfortable dealing with numbers, whether that is in modelling, presenting, or communicating outputs to stakeholders (e.g. Sales and Business Customers). If you're experienced with Excel and have experience working in a commercial environment, we want to hear from you!, To be successful in this role, you'll have the following skills and experience: - Experience in price modelling & analysis, implementing & deploying new prices, whilst liaising with wider business stakeholders (e.g. Sales, Product & Project teams).
- Proven commercial acumen and good business sense to think strategically and identify opportunities.
- Strong Excel modelling skills. Some experience of other techniques and platforms (i.e.VBA, Tableau) is desirable but not essential.
- Able to explain complex subjects in a clear and succinct way, verbally and in writing.
- Confident that numerical work is accurate, consistent with other analysis and with a full audit trail.
- Strong financial knowledge, especially with regards to cost contribution and margin analysis
