Full Job Description

Reporting to the Manager Process Engineering, the Process Engineer's primary efforts will be:

  • Identifying, evaluating, and recommending solutions to medium/long-term issues for facilities optimization in the oil, gas, and water streams on the Terra Nova FPSO.
  • Day-to-day support for Operations may be required for complex process related troubleshooting and production optimization as supplemental Process Engineering support to the Integrated Operations Center (IOC).
  • A key focus for 2025 is plant reliability improvements. This role will support development and reporting implementation of Terra Nova Operating Envelopes and performance monitoring strategies.

    Degree in Engineering and Professional Engineering designation.
  • Minimum 5 years related experience in the petro-chemical/ oil and gas business.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in process engineering, troubleshooting, debottle-necking, process modeling.
  • Strong understanding of oil and gas production system processes and economics.
  • Knowledge and experience in environmental, safety and loss prevention process and practices.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of industry practices, standards, rules and regulations.

  • Computer fluent in HYSYS process modeling tool or other process modeling tool.
  • Computer fluent MS/Office and experience with SAP.

    This position is a technical role with responsibilities for providing engineering and direct process/production support. The role requires strong oil and gas production and process knowledge. The position provides support to Operations in a dynamic environment with changing priorities and often with short and urgent deadlines. The job is located onshore in an office environment with expectations of infrequent trips offshore to the FPSO. Extended hours of work is required during process related upset conditions and project support work.
