Procurement Assistant

We are looking for an additional Procurement Assistant to join our Procurement team based at our Clover Nook Site, Somercotes Alfreton to support in our day to day procurement operation. WHAT OUR PROCUREMENT ASSISTANTS DO:

• Administer and maintain vendors and vendor documentation
• Set up new vendors and follow processes to ensure any risk is mitigated for the business
• Manage Purchase Order requisitions for existing suppliers and one-off purchases
• Update bank change information using a strict process to mitigate any fraudulent activity
• Maintain and update a quality management data base assisting with updating price changes and supplier invoice queries
• Contribute to Vehicle Administration as necessary and during holiday cover
• Maintain Departmental and supplier records and reports as directed
• Build and maintain a relationship with our supplier base, negotiating price and delivery when necessary
  
  Previous knowledge of Procurement Operations in an office environment an advantage
• Able to prioritise workloads and recognise relative urgency
• Speed and accuracy in working under time pressures
• Intermediate level Excel and Word skills including databases, SAP and advantage
• Have a positive and can do approach with confidence to challenge where needed
• Willing to learn and develop Procurement skills and knowledge
  
  You will be rewarded with a very competitive basic salary of £26,000 - £30,000
