Working in our UK support functions you'll play a key part in helping our customer facing colleagues deliver exceptional standards of customer service and patient care. As Team Leader, you will lead a key procurement team, allocating workloads and managing priorities based on business requirements. You will also be accountable for identifying and delivering cost saving initiatives in order to achieve category and department targets. How you'll help us make health happen
- By managing and motivating your team and ensure they are provided with the knowledge and training needed to fulfil their roles effectively
- You'll follow and contribute to comprehensive category plans which have clear savings/opportunity pipelines whilst also supporting category priorities based on benefits and business requirements.
- Follow and support category risk plans in agreement with Category Managers and Bupa's risk management policies & procedures to mitigate Bupa's exposure to supply chain risks within the categories under management.
- Maintain personal integrity with regards to commercial confidentiality and conduct supplier relationships with the highest standard of ethical conduct and set and maintain the same expectation for the team.
MCIPS or Equivalent Qualification would be beneficial but not required - Sourcing Experience and expertise is essential
- Evidence of sourcing a wide range of products and services, including IT.
- Experience of delivering savings through driving sourcing and category procurement activities
- Excellent communication skills
- Comprehensive experience of working closely with internal stakeholders to ensure a successful commercial outcome
- Recent and relevant experience of leading cross functional/business unit teams
