Full Job Description

This role centres on providing tendering support (setting up tender exercises in the Delta e-Tendering portal, communication with tenderers, amending documentation for publication, and collating information from and for suppliers and stakeholders) for the Integration Workstreams relating to the merger between City and St George's legacy organisations, primarily focused on IT. Duties will also include interrogating SAP and other systems and undertaking data analytics, supporting the preparation of reports on tender and contractual activities for the Integration Programme Board and individual Workstream projects, recording tender information in the Project & Contracts register, contracts database, waiver and vendor set-up processes. The post-holder will also lead on some tenders, as agreed by the relevant Category Manager and/or Head of Procurement., The selection process will involve an interview and assessment/exercise/presentation . The successful candidate will be familiar with financial and budgetary regulation, and have knowledge of purchasing and procurement activities, be articulate and service- and stakeholder-focused, and have an excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office apps. Knowledge of SAP would be an advantage. Knowledge of procurement regulation (internal or statutory) would be helpful. The successful candidate will be highly organised and capable of prioritising a diverse workload. They will also be comfortable engaging with stakeholders at all levels in the organisation as required. The ability to collate and analyse complex data in support of Procurement's reporting requirements, tendering processes and insurance provision is essential. A working knowledge of IT infrastructure and business applications, including software licencing, would be an advantage.
