Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join the Procurement & Supply Chain team as a Procurement Manager. The post holder (there is one post - 1 full time post fixed-term contract for 2-years) will work with other colleagues within the Directorate and across the wider Trust and region to achieve the Trust's Procurement Transformation Plan and the Trust's engagement within the National Commercial Strategy. This role is focussed on a variety of Procurement related activity including Clinical and Capital requirements. It is currently one of three procurement Managers within the department.

  • Please bring MCIPS registration details with you on day of interview, and include MCIPS number in application.Main duties of the job You will line manage and lead a team of Procurement professionals to establish and enhance robust relationships within the aligned business area and wider Trust, to drive productive collaboration between the stakeholders and the procurement function in the effective forward planning of procurement/projects requirements. Responsible for the tendering of bespoke contracts for goods, services and works, including research, preparation, issue, scheduling, evaluation, reporting on tenders and awards and the management of contracts, you will have knowledge and experience of procurement and its application within the public sector. This knowledge must be underpinned by theory and experience.
