Full Job Description

Working as part of a team to establish a new way of Digital Trading within the Global Insurance Industry, you will work collaboratively with Product managers and your peers to support both the set up and subsequent rapid growth journey of a new part of WTW, winning new customers and expanding into new markets internationally. As a technical business analyst you will be involved in the definition and development of the Neuron product working alongside customers, designers, Engineering Managers and Architects, to shape, define and prioritise a backlog features, user stories to deliver outcomes for customers and the business. The Role:

  • The BA will engage with key clients to elicit their data needs for different products. This involves conducting interviews, workshops, and stakeholder meetings.
  • Build out core data packets for different Lines of businesses/products within Insurance, assessing where data transformation is required including Data normalization, enrichment, aggregation, and cleansing.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and facilitate meetings (including internal subject matter experts, internal end-users, and the Product Management team) to document requirements,
  • Work with the Product Managers to break down to Feature and user stories that can be implemented and developed by engineers. Creating clarity in what needs to be built and the rationale wy.
  • Work with UX to create Personas, document user Journeys, process flows and use cases
  • The BA will engage directly with key clients to elicit their data needs. This involves conducting interviews, workshops, and stakeholder meetings.

    Extensive years of experience as a Technical Business Analyst working on APIs & data products performing analysis, documenting requirements, epics, features, and user stories. Primarily in the commercial insurance market.
  • Mapping of key data requirements for Insurance products across the Market.
  • Possess a solid understanding of the insurance industry, particularly in the commercial segment. This includes knowledge of various insurance products, underwriting processes, claims management, and policy servicing.
  • Has worked using Agile methodologies, embedded within a software development team, in a commercial/production environment.
  • Good understanding of the software development lifecycle and testing
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to influence senior stakeholder.
  • Understanding of the Agile software development lifecycle in a commercial/production environment.
  • High attention to detail and high-quality standards whilst being pragmatic and delivering at pace,
  • At ease working in a team environment, can provide and receive constructive criticism.
  • Sharp analytical and problem-solving skill.
  • Other highly desirable, but not essential skills are:
  • Working in a B2B environment - early stage of a product/business.
  • Formal Business Analyst / Product Owner / Product Management training and accreditations,
  • Hands-on experience with the production and working with wireframes.
