Full Job Description

You will work with software houses and key business stakeholders such as Underwriting and Pricing to project manage the development and release of new insurance products and schemes to market. You will undertake business analysis and testing as part of these deliveries and handle stakeholder communication. You will also document your work within specifications and project plans and within company systems to ensure there is a clear audit trail.,

  • Assisting with the delivery of accurate and efficient solutions for New Business opportunities within agreed timescales.
  • Working within defined project management best practice department processes.
  • Dealing with changing and conflicting priorities with absolute focus on supporting business development opportunities.
  • Producing required reports to demonstrate progress on performance against targets.
  • Understanding the Groups internal systems and processes and how these need to be configured and developed to support the efficient and effective processing of New Business opportunities
  • Supporting the ongoing development of a flexible and dynamic culture - with a focus on excellence, timeliness and delivery
  • Representing the business as required in meetings with Brokers or other third parties regarding new business opportunities.
  • Conducting document, rates, Landscape and EDI testing of all solutions.
  • Managing external partners, including Software Houses to support New Business delivery.
  • Assist with the management of business analysis within the team to ensure appropriate solutions are proposed and implemented.
  • Learning our insurance quote systems and processes.
  • Assisting with the measurement of third party system supplier attainment of SLA in delivering and supporting New Business opportunities.
  • Liaising and communicating with Manager, Executive team and Product Heads regarding any New Business delivery opportunities or issues and prioritisation.
  • Regularly review and communicate progress out to the department and wider business stakeholders.
  • Any other activity required to support Product Delivery.

    Good understanding of motor insurance.
  • Good understanding of the Markerstudy business model and departments within it.
  • Good understanding of industry developments and new technologies e.g. rating hubs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Understanding of system change processes and auditing.
  • Excellent relationship management.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of the business.
  • Excellent problem solving abilities to overcome delivery issues.
