Do you have Life Product knowledge? Are you looking for a new challenge with Zurich UK? If so, this role could be for you. We have an exciting, highly visible, and influential role to lead on Life's closed book of pensions, protection, and investments product lines. Reporting to the Head of Life Inforce, Gareth Jenkins, you will support in the delivery of key Inforce strategic aims and the profitability of the portfolio. You will own the product management process to oversee the delivery of our customer promises on the large, diverse book of business, and will drive improvements for both customer and shareholder benefit. You'll lead a team of around 5 7 direct reports and will work with a wide range of other functions. The existing job share partner is very flexible in terms of working patterns, so this could be Monday to Wednesday, Wednesday to Friday or even a Wednesday-to-Wednesday approach. We envisage Wednesday being the handover day where both job holders are in the office. The current role holder works 28 hours and is more than happy to have informal conversations with potential candidates to tell them more about the role. What will you be doing? As the Product Management & Inforce Manager, some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Owning the product management (PM) process to ensure customer outcomes are delivered by our propositions and to continually look for improvements
  • Support product change in response to regulatory developments
  • Managing the PM team to ensure the PM responsibilities are delivered (currently Expanding to 7 people)
  • Reporting outcomes to senior management - me/LMT, UKLPAC on 6 monthly basis, ZAL Board on annual basis, ZAL Workplace GAA, Regulators
  • Supporting Head of Inforce with delivering profitability of the portfolio through driving value management activities
  • Supporting Head of Inforce with delivery of In Force strategic aims e.g. portfolio simplification

    Knowledge of Life Products
  • Strong Commercial awareness/business acumen and politically savvy with the ability to apply these to drive strategic change in line with delivery of the business strategy
  • Expert communication, facilitation, and consulting skills
  • Report writing experience
  • Adaptable, resilient, collaborative and a motivated disposition.
  • Excellent relationship and networking skills
  • Solution focused, flexible thinker, creative problem-solving that has applicability in the real world
  • Delivery focused, able to deliver through others, ensuring completion of strategically important initiatives that span organisation boundaries
  • Actuarial qualifications would be advantageous, but the job share partner is not an actuary, so this is not an essential requirement
