Full Job Description
We are seeking a talented and experienced Product Manager to join our team. This role will report directly to the Head of Product and will lead the Personalization Pod, a vital team responsible for helping users decode and learn about their skincare needs before recommending them the right products and routine to target their skincare needs. This role is responsible for leading the entire decoding and recommend experience in users' journey: development and optimization of features in skincare and new categories soon. About the role In your role you will oversee all features relating to personalization. You will be responsible for:
- Ensuring product market fit of the MVP by: + Validating existing features, based on MVP product analytics, ongoing insight and a strong consumer understanding and optimizing the personalization loop. + Optimize the MVP through the identification of new features that will drive further engagement, trust and new buyer conversion.
- Develop and optimize the end-to-end personalization loop + decoding process: to be the best one on the market to ensure users truly decode themselves correctly, learn about themselves and their skincare needs + recommendation engine to provide users concern-led solutions by matching them with the best product and product combination + tracking process to help users track progress, review and refine their recommendations
- This role will lead the entire personalization collective working closely with their designers, devs, data science and skin experts
- Lead product development for new user features as we expand (into categories and/or markets), working closely with venture leadership to help identify and inform future personalization and growth opportunities What you'll do Product Strategy
- Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy and roadmap that maximizes users engagement with our diagnose features and leverages personalization to help us achieve a sustainable competitive advantage
- Leverage consumer and data-led insights to aid and contribute to the identification of new venture-wide strategic initiatives (e.g. category expansion, market expansion) to grow and better serve the consumer's pain point
- Manage and track product performance against KPIs and suggest new ways to track product use and/or impact on end-users New Feature Development
- Leverage user data, product analytics, qualitative consumer feedback and deep category expertise to identify areas for optimization
- Lead user testing and validation of the product (alongside testing leads) to identify new features and/or requirements that deliver on your long-term product strategy
- Work closely with our Data Science Lead & Skin experts to identify ways to optimize, or further expand on the personalized experience, starting with a user-centric perspective, whilst also ensuring features are feasible from a technical and data perspective
- Define detailed feature requirements for design, engineering and data science teams to deliver on Product Management
- Create and manage your product backlog, prioritizing the features based on consumer impact, business impact and commerciality and technical feasibility
- Work closely with a Tech Lead to support the product development process; co-ordinating with front-end and platform engineers to ensure successful, timely delivery of product
- Work closely with the Data Science Lead to ensure an enriched and validated product data set, from which you can optimise the new user experience.
- Identify and remove any delivery blockers for engineering and data science teams
- Collaborate closely with product leadership and other pod leads (incl. product, operations, growth, marketing, ecommerce) to manage dependencies and aid cohesive E2E user experience
Experience in Product Management for startups and scale ups. - Experience overseeing the definition and delivery of multiple features, within an empowered product team set up
- Experienced with product data analysis
- Experience running agile delivery teams of designers, engineers and data scientists, and successfully managing the backlog
- Experience designing and defining features, including conducting consumer tests (quant/qual) to optimize decision-making
- Experience managing senior stakeholders and collaborating closely with peers Strong understanding of, and passion for:
- Consumer pain points and behaviours in the beauty category (skincare, haircare, makeup, fragrance)
- Leveraging technological advancements to provide a superior user experience
- UX design principles including the optimization of user flows and usability Skills & Mindset:
