Full Job Description

You will be responsible for the management and performance of the Programme and Project Development and Delivery teams. You will be responsible for the organisation, management, development and delivery of complex multi-agency and high value (multi-million pound) regeneration schemes and initiatives. One post will be solely leading on the Millburngate Development and the other will be based within our Major Projects team., Durham County Council currently operates a hybrid working policy where a model of 2 days in the workplace and 3 days at home/remote will apply. This model is pro-rated for part time roles and arrangements are at managers discretion, alternatively you can work all of your contracted hours within the workplace if you prefer. We are looking for experienced individuals who have the ability to analyse complex situations quickly and develop and communicate appropriate solutions., You will have a Degree or equivalent in a related discipline and hold a Better Business Cases certificate. You should have management level experience within a large organisation and enhanced project management experience. You will have a proven track record of successful development and management of highly complex, multi-million-pound programmes and projects; corporate and departmental objectives; policies and strategies.
