Full Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity to join the Visitor Experience team at Heaton Park as a Programming and Engagement Officer on a permanent basis. This role is instrumental in ensuring that we have a fun, friendly and exciting offer throughout the year for our millions of visitors. One week you could be working with a community organisation to deliver a programme of mindfulness activities, the next you could be creating a paid trail map which invites visitors to explore our hundreds of acres of parkland. This role will include creating and delivering a high-quality programme of activities, identifying and delivering commercially viable opportunities and working in partnership with new and existing stakeholders, charities and community organisations.
- Creative, you will be able to deliver a wide variety of high-quality programming opportunities.
- Excellent communicator, you will be able to work alongside and effectively communicate with a wide variety of people and organisations.
- Adaptable, you will be able to quickly and effectively respond to the needs of the park and its visitors. Essential Experience:
- Working in a visitor facing role
- Creating and delivering a visitor programme or activities
- Working in partnership with community organisations
- Ability to think creatively for innovative solutions to problems, with the ability to develop new approaches where necessary
- Working with partners or suppliers to collect and report on performance or financial data
