Are you an experienced Project Engineer with expertise in Overhead Line (OHL) work? Balfour Beatty's Power T&D team in Halland is looking for a proactive, solutions-driven Project Engineer to help us power the future. As a Project Engineer (OHL), you'll play a critical role in ensuring the successful planning, execution, and delivery of high-quality, efficient overhead line infrastructure projects. You'll work closely with our skilled teams and industry partners, leveraging your technical knowledge to solve challenges and deliver innovative, safe solutions to keep power flowing across the UK. What you'll be doing

  • Oversee the day-to-day engineering and management of OHL projects, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to meet project milestones within budget and time constraints.
  • Liaise with clients and stakeholders, providing technical guidance and ensuring project requirements are met.
  • Conduct site visits, risk assessments, and monitor project progress.

    Experience in OHL or power transmission projects within an engineering role.
  • A relevant engineering qualification (Degree or HND/HNC).
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance within the power and construction sectors.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience of supporting large infrastructure projects within our Industry.
  • Knowledge and experience of Project Management methodology.
  • Strong People Management Commercial awareness with knowledge of both budgetary and financial control.
  • Degree Qualified in Electrical/Civil Engineering Discipline.
  • Full UK Driving Licence., Disability Confident
