Full Job Description
As a Project Leader in the Adults and Health Transformation team you'll thrive on playing a key role in delivering change across a range of projects to support people across Leeds to live good and fulfilling lives.,
- To undertake, lead and contribute to the successful delivery of major transformational projects and programmes, in response to the local and national transformation agendas for Health and Adult Social Care services.
- To enable Adult Social Care to deliver major service improvements with our partners in Health and other Council Departments.
- To ensure that project objectives are delivered on time, within budget and to expected levels of quality.
- To engage with partners and other stakeholders to gain agreement and commitment to delivering change, co-operation and resources to successfully deliver service improvements. Responsibilities
- To manage and contribute to projects within the Directorate's transformation and improvement programmes, using appropriate project management methodologies. This will include project initiation, scoping, planning, implementation and review.
- To undertake and contribute to organisational and service process reviews.
- To contribute to the delivery of change through analysing current practice and recommending improvements.
- To manage competing priorities, ensuring consistency of approach with a key focus on delivery and quality.
- To prepare briefings, reports, policy documents, publicity and other materials, and to deliver these in ways that meet the needs of different audiences.
- To lead, contribute to and support meetings, including working groups, as required, including agenda planning and preparation, attendance at meetings and minuting where appropriate/required.
- To manage and support effective communication, completing appropriate documentation as required.
- To undertake line management of project officers as required.
- To work in partnership, and build good working relationships, with other Council departments and external bodies as required.
- To keep abreast of developments, internal and external, which have implications for Health and Adult Social Care services, and the Council as a whole.
- To carry out all assignments with minimum direct supervision and in accordance with specified work programmes, project briefs, and timetables.
- To maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- To work within all relevant policies, procedures and systems established corporately by the Council or locally by Adult Social Care and, in particular, to support the Council's Equal Opportunities Policies.

As a Project Leader, you will bring the following to the role: - Experience of leading or contributing to multiple projects and pieces of work, while maintaining a focus on delivery and quality.
- Experience of analysing operational requirements, recommending improvements and implementing change.
- Experience of working on projects that have delivered customer focussed outcomes.
- Ability to work effectively with other teams, services and departments to deliver cross-cutting projects.

- Experience of leading, managing and contributing to a variety of projects relating to transformation and service improvement, and delivering them on time, within budget and to agreed quality standards.
- Experience of using formal project management methodologies to take forward projects from concept to implementation and completion.
- Experience of undertaking and contributing to organisational and service process reviews, and of reporting recommendations in a variety of formats.
- Experience of identifying, quantifying and realising benefits as part of projects or programmes
- Experience of identifying and managing risks associated with projects or programmes.
- Experience of leading or contributing to multiple projects and pieces of work, while maintaining a focus on delivery and quality.
- Experience of writing reports and delivering presentations to a very high standard.
- Experience of communicating key issues effectively, clearly and succinctly both in writing and verbally to a range of audiences.
- Experience of line management or of leading staff assigned to project teams. Innovation, business analysis and delivering change
