Full Job Description
1. Lead the development and delivery of project plans within Safer Trackside Working Programme
2. Manage and direct supply chain support for additional trackside protection, with advice, guidance and ensuring accountability
3. Track and share progress against each project milestone in the Profolio
4. Support the Programme Manager in reporting, developing strategic and tactical plans and proposals for consideration between Maintenance ,Operations and other Stakeholders in Sussex
5. Lead and develop your Project Management Assistant(s) capabilities by providing and supporting opportunities for learning.
6. Able to work at pace on a variety of differing tasks whilst leading and engaging with a wide variety of stakeholders across route and region
7. Manage the Contractor(s) to ensure the additional protection measures are sustainable and always available when required
8. Manage the development and delivery of projects in compliance with company processes and procedures
9. Manage the production of project management plans for projects
10. Deliver regular progress reports on change projects, including relevant risks and issues, to the Programme Manager
11. Manage project budgets within agreed targets

· - Demonstrable evidence of tracking and developing project benefits?
· - Excellent all-round communication skills?, Degree or equivalent
- Relevant successful experience in project management and stakeholders
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Detailed knowledge of safety regulations (particularly CDM)
-Team leader capable of motivating the team
- Commercial and financial understanding and knowledge
- Membership of the Association for Project Management or other professional body
- Experience of reporting, presentation and creation of reports to demonstrate project health
- Experience of applying project methodologies
Desirable
- Member of project association
- Knowledge of investment processes and procedures
- Knowledge of the principles in Maintenance
- Knowledge of/experience in the UK rail industry
