Full Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity to join the Oxford Vaccine Group (OVG) in the Department of Paediatrics as a Project Manager to lead the delivery of a CEPI funded Lassa programme.
You will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team while also demonstrating independent initiative to tackle challenges and provide exceptional administrative support. You will be working in a growing department within the Medical Sciences Division. The Department of Paediatrics is a world leader in child health research and hosts internationally renowned research programmes in drug development, gastroenterology, haematology, HIV, immunology, neuroimaging, neuromuscular diseases and vaccinology.
This presents an exciting opportunity to join a team dedicated to the rapid clinical development of vaccines against various emerging pathogens, including Nipah, Lassa, Marburg and Ebola. If you are passionate about contributing to ground-breaking research in the field of vaccine development, we encourage you to apply.
This position is offered full-time on a fixed-term contract initially until 30 September 2027 with the possibility to extend provided further external funding is available.
You will have extensive experience in coordinating and managing complex projects, possessing a thorough understanding of legislative, financial, and research governance requirements, as well as expertise in vaccine manufacturing. You will have a proven track record in setting up and delivering scientific projects and clinical trials to high standards. You will be responsible for ensuring seamless day-to-day project coordination and activities. Additionally, this role may involve international travel.
