North Central London Cancer Alliance (NCLCA) is looking for an Innovation Project Manager to join our growing team working to identify and implement sustainable innovative solutions in cancer care across North Central London.
The post holder will work collaboratively with clinical, administrative, and academic staff across the geography to improve early cancer detection, diagnosis, care and treatment through the sustainable embedding of novel, innovative solutions. This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager who has experience and knowledge of developing and delivering innovation projects and is passionate about improving cancer pathways within North Central London.
NCLCA is a collaboration of NHS and other bodies, hosted by University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. We work to promote early diagnosis, optimise pathways, reduce variation, provide personalised support for patients, and build service resilience. Patients and carers are at the heart of what we do.
The post holder will work with colleagues and partners across North Central London to support delivery of our Innovation Programme in 2025/26, with a focus on early diagnosis.
This is an exciting time to join the Alliance, as we seek to drive forward an ambitious strategy, in collaboration with the North Central London Integrated Care System.
The post is a full time contract until 31st March 2026., The post holder will be a key member of the team and the main duties include, but are not limited to:
o Project management - To lead on project management responsibilities for a suite of innovation projects across NCL primary and secondary care organisations. To develop and implement project plans, identify and mitigate risk, problem-solve, and track and report on progress.o Programme support- To lead on the delivery of PMO functions within the Innovation Programme, including management of our strategic partnerships, establishing meaningful patient/wider stakeholder participation, maintaining complex budget management across multiple financial years, drafting internal/external communications, and completing relevant local/national governance and reporting requirements.o Project development- To work with our Health Innovation Network to contribute to the identification and development of new projects and solutions, specifically focused on early diagnosis. To engage with national forums like communities of practice to report findings back to local stakeholders.
The post holder will be directly responsible for supporting the development, oversight, and evaluation of the NCLCA Innovation Programme, with a specific focus on the diagnosis of more cancers at an early stage. The role is based within the Innovation team but will work, where appropriate, with other Alliance programmes including, Primary Care, Prevention, Awareness and Screening and Personalised Cancer Care.
The North Central London Cancer Alliance (NCLCA) works in partnership with multiple NHS providers across primary and secondary care and with local authorities in North Central London (the Boroughs of Camden, Islington, Haringey, Barnet and Enfield).We are a team of 34 people with expert clinical support and guidance from a further four clinical leads.

We are based in an office on Wimpole Street, central London. Hybrid working is the norm, with the expectation that all staff will come into the office at least once a week.
