About the Role

Are you an experienced Project Manager with a track record of delivering Capital projects? Do you want to make a positive impact on the lives of residents across the City Region through innovative projects that generate economic growth, social and wellbeing benefits while also contributing to climate action and net zero targets?

We are recruiting for Project Managers to join the Housing Partnership team working on multi-year projects delivering retrofit decarbonisation to homes across the City Region. The role will contribute to the development, embedding, and delivery of best practice project management, procurement and contract management, collaborating with partners and stakeholders including funders, local authorities, housing associations, supply chain, community and resident groups.

The role will work alongside the North West Net Zero Hub and wider project team, using a standardised project management framework based on recognised project management methodologies, tools and templates to ensure projects are delivered consistently and to a high standard. However, you will have the autonomy to determine the best way forward for your project, motivating and leading the project team throughout the project lifecycle and undertaking all aspects of planning, monitoring, reporting and control.

Essential skills and knowledge for this role:

  • Degree or considerable experience leading complex projects.
  • Well established project manager with leadership experience on complex projects.
  • Project management methodology and tools including tracking programme plans, risks, issues, change control, lesson learned, monitoring and evaluation.
  • Managing high value project budgets, contracts, grant funding agreements.
  • Good interpersonal skills, leading stakeholder engagement.
  • Good communication skills and experience drafting business cases, briefing papers and reports.
  • Organising and chairing project-related meetings, workshops, engagement and events.
  • IT skills including Microsoft Office products and collaboration (eg SharePoint, Teams)
  • Pro-active, a self-starter working with minimum supervision, working to deadlines.
  • Commitment to continuous personal and professional development.
  • Demonstrate the organisation's behaviours; Liverpool City Region First, Respect and Action Focused
