Full Job Description
We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of IT projects within the UK. You will be responsible for ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- We are looking for someone who can start immediately and who can commit to a 6 month contract Responsibilities will include:
- Manage the entire project lifecycle, from initiation to closure.
- Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Monitor project progress and identify any potential risks or issues.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including team members, clients, and senior management.
- Ensure that all projects comply with relevant regulations and standards.
- Manage key third-party partners to ensure delivery of projects to time, budget and quality
- Manage relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment on project / work request objectives, critical tasks, milestones and dependencies.
- Provide effective project progress updates to key stakeholders both written and verbally.
- Able to capture and articulate benefits associated with each delivery
- Works closely with any required third-party partners, establishing effective partnerships and well-defined ways of working
Proven experience in IT project management, preferably in the UK. - Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, such as Agile and Waterfall.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Experience of managing onsite, remote teams and external suppliers.
- Stakeholder management - risk and issue resolution
- Great communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience of project budget management and cost control
- Experience of risk management and mitigation techniques
- Experience of IT change management
- Robust - be able to deal with changing circumstances and challenging situations whilst still achieving objectives. Desirable experience required:
- Degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
- Prince2 or equivalent qualification
- Analytical approach to problem solving combined with commercial awareness.
- Familiarity with project management tools like JIRA, Trello, Microsoft Project
- Keen appetite for self-development and continuous improvement.
