Full Job Description
We are seeking a Project Manager to play a key role in the establishment and operation of the North West and North Wales (NWNW) cluster of the British Academy Early Career Researcher Network (BA-ECRN). The cluster will be led by Lancaster University and co-led by the University of Manchester and Manchester Metropolitan University, working in collaboration with the prestigious British Academy.
The cluster is part of a wider initiative supported by the British Academy Early Career Researcher Network working in partnership with the Wolfson Foundation. The BA-ECRN is an inclusive, researcher-led membership body accessible to all UK-based early career researchers working in the humanities and social sciences. The Network aims to help early career researchers develop their careers and enable them to fulfill their potential by offering opportunities including research and personal skills development, networking inside and outside of academia and forming interdisciplinary research collaborations.
The opportunities for ECRs are offered nationally and regionally. Regional clusters provide support for the Academy and researchers at a regional level.
Working closely with the Academic Lead and colleagues across Lancaster University, as well as colleagues in the co-led institutions, you will take forward the design, management, delivery and evaluation of the BA-ECRN NWNW Cluster.
You will come to this role with strong project management and administrative skills, with the expectation that you work with minimal supervision. We are seeking someone with an ability to establish and maintain good relationships with a range of stakeholders. You will have the enthusiasm and commitment to drive forward the North West and North Wales cluster to benefit early career researchers in the humanities and social sciences across the region.
