Full Job Description

We are currently looking for a Project Officer (Compliance) to assist with the programme delivery, including cyclical lifting Maintenance works. You will be responsible for lift cyclical maintenance and repairs, statutory testing (LOLER) and works necessitated under health and safety legislation, and for providing assistance and support to the Project Managers and Senior Project Manager. This role will suite someone with a great knowledge of lifting who will enjoy overseeing project orientated work and is not so much focussed as being onsite while works are conducted. What you will be doing:

  • Assist with delivering efficient programmes of planned maintenance work of lifting maintenance, (service, and LOLER programme), PAT testing, Laundry, and other M&E programmes.
  • Ensuring that good contract management is provided as per bpha's requirements.
  • Delivering a service which operates within a strong culture of health, safety, and environmental awareness that can be evidenced and stands up to scrutiny and audit.
  • Providing assistance to the Project Managers and Senior Project Manager to ensure seamless service delivery is maintained.
  • Ensuring you and your team's adherence and compliance to bpha standing orders, financial regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Contributing to delivery of a customer centric service.

    Experience of managing a lifting cyclical maintenance programme and LOLER programmes (client side) (Desirable) or contract management for a social housing provider or similar (Essential)
  • Good working knowledge of The Lift Regulations 2016, LOLER 1998, and other lift related standards and regulations.
  • Knowledge and understanding of health and safety issues affecting residential properties.
  • Knowledge of health and safety legislation (including CDM 2015) is essential.
  • The ability to affectively achieve value for money through accurate tendering of works and appointment of relevant contractors.
  • Experience of reviewing specifications and implementing change to works streams where service is failing.
  • Working knowledge of MS office and an aptitude for other specialist software packages is essential.
