Full Job Description
Are you a qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (PWP) looking to take the next step in your career? Join our dynamic NHS Talking Therapies service, TALKWORKS, based in the beautiful county of Devon.
This opportunity is exclusively for qualified PWPs eager to make a meaningful difference while benefiting from a supportive and development-focused environment.
At TALKWORKS, we're proud to offer a Preceptorship Programme, designed to support newly qualified practitioners as they transition into their roles and refine their therapeutic skills. We have strong links with the University of Exeter, offering further professional development opportunities, such as training in Long Term Health Conditions and Supervisor Training.
Our team is committed to your growth. With structured pathways for progression, you could advance to Senior PWP, Practice Lead, or High-Intensity Therapist roles.
In addition to flexible working and access to NHS pension and benefits, you'll enjoy a sense of purpose, knowing your work directly improves lives of individuals in Devon.
Start dates are flexible, but please note this is not a remote-only position. If you're passionate about delivering evidence-based CBT interventions and want to join our team, we'd love to hear from you!, As a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (PWP) with TALKWORKS, you will play a key role in delivering high-volume, low-intensity interventions to individuals experiencing mild to moderate anxiety and depression. Using evidence-based CBT approaches, your work will include guided self-help, telephone or video consultations, workshops, and group sessions.
This is a demanding yet rewarding role that requires excellent organisational skills to manage a busy workload while maintaining high standards of care. Those who succeed in this environment are reflective, self-aware practitioners who prioritise their wellbeing and use strategies to build resilience. They also work collaboratively, contributing to the positive, supportive culture we value within our team.
You will work in a hybrid model, providing care in person at clinics, GP surgeries, and community venues across Devon, as well as remotely. Flexibility, inclusivity, and adaptability are essential, as you will support individuals from diverse backgrounds, often with the assistance of interpreters.
Attendance at regular supervision, reflective practice, and professional development activities such as CPD training and team away days is required to meet professional registration standards and ensure you are supported in your role.
This role suits clinicians who are committed to making a real difference while maintaining balance and resilience. If this sounds like you, we encourage your application.
We not only recruit based on qualifications & experience - we recruit individuals who possess & demonstrate the behaviours which underpin our Trusts core values. These include such attributes as showing a commitment to quality of care, improving lives of others, giving respect, dignity & compassion. We can bring those values to life in our everyday tasks by giving a smile; making time for people; challenging ourselves & others, & being open to new ideas.
We are committed to being an inclusive employer & applications are encouraged & welcomed from all sections of the community, regardless of any protected characteristics as governed by the Equality Act 2010. Part time & flexible working applications will be considered & supported, where possible. We particularly encourage applicants with lived experience of mental health conditions, neurodiversity or learning disabilities. We are a Disability Confident Leader.
