Full Job Description

We are looking to appoint a Public Health Specialist to join our talented sexual health team for a 12-month period, helping to oversee the effective delivery of a £10m portfolio of sexual health services and working to improve health outcomes and tackle health inequalities for more than 1.6 million people living and working in Kent.

You will need to be a suitably qualified individual with a proven track record in delivering public health projects and programmes to a high standard. The role will be to develop, support, monitor and review a number of pieces of work across public health, with a focus on sexual health, but with opportunity to contribute to district-level working and health protection efforts also.

You will be skilled in the use of data to inform policy and programmes. You will have a public health qualification, be skilled in project management, and have experience of working in a multidisciplinary team.

Kent is a large County with lots of complex public health issues.You will have the ability to prioritise competing demands and objectives, coupled with diplomacy and a working knowledge of all areas of public health.
