Full Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the newly formed Clinical Placements Team in the College of Health and Life Sciences as Public Patient Involvement Administrator. You will be involved in the development and implementation of processes, procedures, and systems to support the key areas of Public Patient Involvement (PPI) and Inter-Professional Learning (IPL) across the College of Health and Life Sciences. You must be able to work independently and have experience of developing and implementing systems. The role will include significant engagement with external stakeholders and the public therefore you must be able to forge relationships with a wide range of individuals. You will also have strong organisational and time management skills, be able to handle and diverse and varied workload and be self-motivated.
Educated to A level or equivalent, you will have substantial administrative experience within the higher education or healthcare sector. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential for the role, along with the ability to work without close supervision.
This role is campus based, with some flexibility to work from home. Aston University is located within Birmingham City Centre and has accessible transport links, via bus or train, and a cycle to work scheme. The salary being offered for this role is below the minimum threshold for required to sponsor new applicants to the Skilled Worker route. However, Aston University may be able to sponsor the successful candidate if they:
- Are under 26 years old
- Hold a PhD that is relevant to the role
- Have held a Student or Graduate visa in the last 2 years
- Are already in the UK with a Tier 2 or Skilled Worker visa issued before April 4th 2024
