Full Job Description
As a Public Protection Manager, you will manage the council's community protection teams, with the responsibility for the licensing service, and pest control. Your role ensures the provision of high-quality services within the Public Protection Service while developing and reviewing policies and practices to maintain compliance with key performance indicators. You will work alongside internal and external agencies such as Defra, the Police, town and parish councils and Area Boards, on a variety of projects, whilst also being responsible for preparing and presenting criminal prosecutions in the magistrates' court.
Our ideal candidate will hold a degree-level qualification in a relevant field, such as Environmental Health. You will be required to hold a Membership of the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health along with a commitment to maintaining this membership through the required annual CPD hours. Significant post-qualification experience, alongside specialist and up-to-date knowledge of Community Protection and broader national and corporate issues related to Public Protection will be essential., Disability Confident
