Full Job Description

The Quality Assurance Team are looking to recruit Quality Assurance Engineer to work within the Quality Department. Reporting into the Quality Manager, the post holder will provide professional support and advice on all aspects of quality within Weir Minerals Europe.,

  • Support product and QMS compliance

  • This role will be integrated into a fast paced business environment working directly with operational and supply chain teams

  • Product defect analysis

  • Facilitating 8D investigations

  • Conducting Supplier QMS assessments

  • Resolving customer / supplier quality issues

  • Improving supplier quality performance

  • Customer complaints resolution

  • Preparing quality related reports

  • Providing end to end internal and external audit support

  • Driving department improvements projects

  • Projects will include the enhancement and maintenance of Quality Module in SAP

  • Expanding and developing the Quality system throughout our European sites,

  • General QA function responsibilities to achieve departmental objectives and set KPI targets.

    Ideally degree qualified, consideration will be given to individuals that have a technical apprenticeship or relevant quality professional qualification, i.e. internal auditor

  • Previous experience in a similar role is essential

  • Have experience working in a manufacturing environment and a good understanding of using and training others in Quality tools and methodology, including 8D, Ishikawa, PPS and 5 whys root cause analysis investigation principles

  • Experience using SAP Quality Module would be an advantage

  • Knowledge of NPI, APQP would be an advantage.
