Full Job Description
Caterpillar's Peterlee UK location is currently hiring a Quality Engineer . In this role you will performs advanced inspection and audits to track, analyze, and report on materials, processes, and products to ensure conformance to company's quality standards. Ensuring Articulated Truck Interplant product quality from 0 - 36 months in service.,
- Conducting measurement systems analysis; gathering, analyzing, and communicating non-conformance data.
- Analyzing non-conformance data and maintaining quality system documentation.
- Participating in and offering technical support to internal and external audits; following up response of corrective action from audit.
- Work in a team environment to develop and implement best practices that emphasize defect prevention, reduction in variation and waste and provide for continuous improvements in meeting all customer requirements.
- APQP/PPAP execution
- NPI execution What Skills You Will Have: Quality Management:
- Interprets results of quantitative and statistical tools and explains results to others.
- Communicates key benefits of a quality management process.
- Conducts and directs quality reviews.
- Develops expertise in quality assurance tools, techniques, and standards.
- Develops quality assurance processes based on Six Sigma, ISO 9000 or Baldrige principles.
- Develops programs for motivating employees to meet or exceed quality goals. Collaborating:
- Demonstrates experience participating in productive collaborative processes.
- Under guidance, initiates collaborative meetings.
- Assists in communicating shared goals with diverse groups and parties.

- Supports NPI/APQP/PPAP/CPPD end to end Flexibility and Adaptability:

- Develops corrective action based on RCA results.
- Uses RCA techniques such as Re-enactment, Comparative Re-enactment, Re-construction.
